Drawing its character from the predominantly limestone soils around the village of Verzé, this vintage is made up of 100% Chardonnay grapes.

Floral: violets
Fresh fruit: pears
Minerality: flint/chalk

Food and wine pairing

The typical nature of this wine is best expressed with a smoked salmon savoury cake, a salad of scallops, the local dish of pike quenelles or traditional Burgundy snails with parsley. With ageing potential of 3 to 5 years, this wine is ideally served at between 11 and 13°C.
