Mâcon-Villages Les PréludesX
Mâcon-Villages Les Préludes
Grape variety and "Terroir"
The world famous Chardonnay is completely at home here, since it takes its name from a village in the Mâconnais district. Between the plains of the Saône and the mountains of the Beaujolais region, the Mâconnais district has the type of siliceous, granitic soil that is ideal for growing vines.
Food and wine pairing
Mâcon-Villages are fresh wines, which can be served as an aperitif or with a meal, ideally with chicken, fried food, goat’s cheese salad and of course cheese such as Saint Nectaire.
« A clear, glossy wine with aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits and yellow fruits and a roundness and smoothness in the mouth. Typical of its appellation, this white Mâcon-Villages offers a lovely balance and authentic harmony.” »
